New Budget Build

I am planning on doing a new build to just use through out college
as i feel like i am killing my laptop, using it for 10+ hours a day
so i don't need a super fast machine and i don't game so i don't think i need a super graphics heavy computer either
i will just most likely to daily tasks such as word, excel, youtube, movies, music
i don't really game so i don't think ill be needing a dedicated graphics card either

so i came up with this build but wasn't sure if everything worked out
or if there were any better deals out there
thanks for the help again!

mobo: BioStar A880G+
CPU: AMD Rana X3 445 3.1 GHZ
Ram: G Skill 2x2 4gb
HDD: WD 500Gb 7200RPM
PSU: Antec Earthwatts EA 380D 380W
Case: Xigmatek Asgard II
CD/DVD: lite on

I would like to keep the build under 350 if possible as this is around that price point
and i have a new monitor coming the Acer S211HL bd, 21.5 LED 1920x1080
thank you so much for the help!

More about budget build
  1. The bad news: new month means previous combos reset :(
Good news: if u live near a Microcenter - they have updated the lower clocked Propus 640 bundles with 3.2ghz PhenomII X4 840! So if MC is an option

    X4 840 + Biostar A780L3G $99

    Items off Egg $173

    $272 in total
  2. if microcenter is not an option for me is what i have a decent build?
  3. actually maybe i can drive down to the microcenter in silicon
  4. sorry for the continued posts but will the onboard graphics on the biostar a780 play videos on 1080 in the resolution of the monitor i mentioned?
i realized its the ati hd3000 on the biostar a780 so i was just slightly concerned
  5. Standard non Blu ray/HD DVDs that IGP would be fine Also Samsung F3 500/7200.12 500 > WD 500 Black and at $39.99 the latter is a steal :P
  6. i actually can't see what you added on the newegg
part of the post you put up ahhahaha
is it possible to get the links to them?
or get the list of parts?
  7. thank you so much for the help!
  8. Yep u are welcomed ^^
  9. if i were to add a cheap graphics card like the 5450 or something
do i need to up the PSU?
  10. Nah

    Toms USD $500 Dec 2010 SBM,2811-12.html

actually ran a 768M GTX 460 with the same exact PSU :P I rather hit this $59 HD 4830 and it's actualy capable of 1680 x 1050 gaming albeit toning down on more GPU hungry titles hehe
