USB headset VS TRS headset with a sound card?

Hello,

I am looking to purchase a new gamins headset system for my PC, and I was wondering if a USB without an upgraded sound card or a TRS with a sound card would be better?

personally i'd say go for the usb one purely because it allows for switch-able sound without unplugging your speakers , the two soundcards " on board and usb soundcard allow you to swap default device and hot switch your sound in games or while doing things"

Well, you'll get higher quality audio going the dedicated soundcard route; even going from a G35 [which was a very good headset for its price, all things considered] to a Xense + PC350 was a major upgrade in the audio department...

I'd recommend a different soundcard though; I'm not to keen of Creative these days.
