Hello folks,

Had no end of problems with the Asus E45M1-M Pro, freezing repeatedly, occasionally BSOD and eventually showing corrupt graphics in win 7 before I finally gave in and requested an RMA.

All parts are brand new

Seasonic X-400 FL
Asus E45M1-M Pro
Kingston 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333MHz HyperX CL7 XMP
OCZ 60GB SATA3 (6gb/s)
Pioneer 8X BD recorder
Windows 7 X64 Home Premium

Waiting for replacement mainboard to arrive, if problem repeats I suspect PSU problem although it passes the test using a device to check PSU output voltages.

Does the Asus board need the APU heatsink fan fitted and working at all times or is passive cooling (as hoped) an option on this board?

thanks
