Dial up connection pop up keeps coming up and I am on a lan connection

Hello, I am on a lan system thru our cable co, I do not have dialup. The other day I started getting popup windows that say to connect to the internet, or
dial up connection broadband connection. usually if I hit connect or connect automatically it eventually works but what a mess. Can anyone help?

If there's a dial up modem on board, disable it in Device Manager and delete the Network Connection relating to it.
