More about games problems
  1. From the gist of your post, games shut off on you and lock up the system. Usually that comes from overheating or not enough power going to the system. Post your full system specs including the power supply. Also make sure you video card and CPU fans are working properly.

Not sure what fju games are, this happening with all games or only this one game or set of games? Try running 3DMark, does it shut off during that as well?

From the gist of your post, games shut off on you and lock up the system. Usually that comes from overheating or not enough power going to the system. Post your full system specs including the power supply. Also make sure you video card and CPU fans are working properly.

Not sure what fju games are, this happening with all games or only this one game or set of games? Try running 3DMark, does it shut off during that as well?

    Thanks for reply
I found recently this on 3 games:
    Project Snowblind
    Singularity
    Red Shark2

Before i had need for speed most wanted and Stalker-they where ok......
  4. Ah a laptop, no upgrades for you then. Try the older games again, if they work fine, you may need to update your drivers, and check the minimum requirements of the games you are trying. Unfortunately since this is a laptop, and if it crashes on every game now, you need to bring it into a shop to get diagnosed/repaired unless you are capable of taking it apart and checking the fans/heatsinks.

    sorry...this is not laptop...it`s PC....
Where did you get that this is laptop?????
  6. Dell Vostro is a laptop brand, but looks like they also have an all-in-one PC model. Which you have, unfortunately again, the build on those is pretty much a laptop, can't see any video upgrades on Dell's site for the 320. Video driver update, test the older games, if they all fail, repair of the system. Or get a regular tower PC and monitor.

Argh.. my bad on this whole thing.. busy day at work. I misread your config sheet as a 320 and not a 230. Sorry about confusing you more.

If you want to get some decent speeds in games (outside of just trying to find out why the games are crashing), check on Dell's website for updates to the video card based on your service tag. Just don't order from there, you can find the same or better cards much cheaper from online stores like newegg or amazon.

Your crashing is still one of only a few things, the video card is bad (overheating, chips going bad) or your system needs a video driver update. If your other games are workign fine, your video card is probably not at fault, try the driver update. But if you are using this system to play games, you should look into replacing the video card with a better one in either case.

So perhaps better to get another video card than looking for upgrades from DEll...or i may be wrong....
    What you propose....

Dell's site will give you a range of cards that will work on your system without further upgrades such as to the power supply. That's why you want to check what Dell suggests, then get that model of card elsewhere. If you have about a 250-300 watt power supply you can get a Radeon 4650 or a 5550, those will run on a weaker power supply, if you have a free PCIe slot, which you should.

Depending on the system, it may let you use the onboard video as well as the add-on card, but unless you have more than 2 monitors to connect that's useless. With your system I doubt it will have 2 PCIe slots to run in SLI or crossfire, and your power supply probably can't run 2 add-on video cards.
