More about 5670 300w
  1. It should work fine here is a power benchmark where the get a total system power under load 190watt http://www.anandtech.com/show/2935/13
Just make sure if the motherboard has a PCIexpress x 16 version 1.x slot that you buy a version 2.0 card not 2.1
  2. Dude I said 5670 not 5570
  3. Thankanyway
  4. The review is for a 5570 but they have power numbers for 5670 at 190 watts
    Same as here http://www.anandtech.com/show/2917/13
  5. You'll be fine. The HD 5670 doesn't consume more than 30w of power under normal gaming conditions. If you were to use a FurMark to stress your card then it would probably go up to 40w - 45w. Overall your PC doesn't really use much power.

Additionally, do not bother getting the 1GB version since the 512MB of RAM does not improve performance (see review below):

  6. Thanks i keep worrying about the amps everyone says thats most important but seeing as how my system doesn't use much power I guess there is room for the GPU. Btw howmuch amps is used by everything but the cpu and gpu?
  7. With 19 amps you have just on the +12 volt rail 19x 12= 202watts so you are fine.
  8. Wait if my psu is only 202 why does it say 300w? Should it be 228 watts. 12x19=228

I stand corrected it is 228watts just on the +12volt rail the rest of the 300watts are on the +5 and 3.3 volt rails.
  10. So we can safely say I should buy it and I am able to run it.
  11. Yes it will work fine.
  12. So which one should I buy there are so much brands which one is the best.
  13. If I was buying today I would get this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102871 just because it is the cheapest one from a good manufacturer.

I have a Dell Optiplex 980 with a 305 watt power supply. Dropped an XFX HD-567X-ZNF3 Radeon HD 5670 1GB 128-bit DDR5 into it. It's been 6 weeks and no issues.

    +12VA max 13A, +12VB max 7A. Not to exceed 220 watts.
  17. So I guess we are sort of the same thanks guys I'm going to buy it.
