for the price i'd say 5670 was a better buy since the card was faster than GT240. btw AMD recommend 400w PSU for 5670 but if you have good quality PSU then you're good to go.

but nvidia come with 3d function
my monitor is not 3d yet but may be ...

so how about 3d on nvidia and ati
and also how about dvd/bul ray performance on LCD tv

I have both cards each with 1GB DDR5 in very similar but not exact machines. Both machines only have 300 watt psu's. Both machines run WOW fine with the same settings. But the 5670 is able to produce a few more frames consistantly in all situations.

and i also found this one and about 15 usd cheaper.

HD 5670 a better choice coz,this is a mainstream concern nd so 3-4 fps difference in dis section can result to much smoother gameplay

While on gt 240 u will get features lyk 3d vision,u'll need a 120hz monitor 4 dat,nd u get PhysX ,personally i lyk physx because blasts nd chaos seems much better nd cn really b felt bt still in mainstream section u must nt compromise ur frame rates for these features nd eye candy,if u want eye candy with performance spend few bucks more nd get a gts 450

Agreed that the GTS450 would be a better choice. But it would appear that a PSU upgrade would also be needed. Not sure if that is in his budget.

yea, a 450 will not usually run on a 350 watt psu unless its an unerrated psu , if its a really good 350 watt psu it'd still be cutting it close with the 5670

nvidia says GTS 450 is meant to run on 400W PSUs bt 5670 won't face any probs with the 350W.HD 5670 should do it fine

it would run on 300w make sure you have over 18amps on the 12 volt rail.

but 450 is about 30usd above and my friend don't want to spend it that much on 450 + a good psu.
he can afford 5670 or 240gt.

hd 5670 is will do everything fine.even a gt 220 will play hd movies.

Listen a 450 draws more power than a 5670 so does a 240. Amd just says 400w psu to be safe. If your cpu doesn't draw too much power than you are good.

^ wat?? a 240 requires only 300W PSUs not more.
