I have just recently resurrected my old PC components in my sig. I am having an issue where it is powering up then powering down shortly after never booting BIOS.
When I try to power on again it only spins fans for a very short amount of time but if I time hitting the power button over and over again properly it will boot and runs fine for hours even under load.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I was thinking maybe not enough voltage but I figured 550W would be enough for this system.
FYI sig doesn't include GPU for some reason
Take a look at the 'Start' and 'Reset' switches on the computer case. If these two are in close proximity, a malfunction (vibrations, loose contacts, etc.) could cause the 'Reset' switch to be unnecessarily activated after you depress the 'Start' switch. Can drive a person nuts especially if it is a random, intermittent problem.
