So this is my first home built and I'm a little nervous. The main part being compatibility. Not solely with the parts actually working together, but meshing together well. I want to make sure that the brands and individual parts accent each other, or if I should switch it up. Thank you for the input in advance.

The six core AMD Thuban processors are not good for gaming. The cheaper Phenom 2 x4 955 BE and up outperform all AMD's Six core processors in gaming. However... Sandy Bridge processors beat the Phenoms by a lot at the same price range in gaming... and I mean a lot!

And yes Sandy Bridge motherboards are available right now with the new B3 chipsets.

More boards will come available in the days to come. Asus started shipping SB boards out yesterday.
As far as the other parts you have listed. They look great! except... I'd change the HDD to a samsung spinpoint F3 1Tb for $55 They are just as fast or faster than the WD and a lot less expensive.
The one thing I would change before that is the power supply. For the price I'd get this 600watt Corsair;

is $60 plus there is a $15 rebate... $45 for a 600 watt Corsair PSU is amazing.
BTW the memory you picked will work great with a Sandy Bridge CPU as it is low voltage.

Awesome! I checked those out and they look great. I'll probably be taking your advice on all of those. As far as the video card goes, I haven't been keeping up with them as much lately, so I'm kind of at a loss. I don't want to go extremely overboard, but I don't want to go super cheapo either. I was looking at this one but haven't made up my mind yet.
