Still trying to figure out the whole router/hardware firewall thing. I am trying to us this router with WinMX for file-sharing. I am unable to make a primary connection to the server because I am unable to open/map?? incoming TCP port 6699 and outgoing UDP port 6257. I can't seem to find anything on the internet about this and I have only a faint idea of what's going on with ports, etc. Do I need to use port triggering, set up a virtual server or reconfigure the firewall, or what? Thanks.

If those are the ports it needs you are going to have to forward those ports to your computers IP. There should be something about portforwarding in your router. Find your computers IP (go to command prompt and type in ipconfig) and forward those ports to your computer.
