Hey, guys (again :) ),
and I need some help deciding on which mobo to get.
First of all here are my specs:
-Intel Core i5 2500k
-CORSAIR XMS 8GB 1600 (going to get this)
-XFX Radeon HD 6870 Double Dissipation
-OCZ ZS Series 550w (I read some good reviews on it, so I got it)
-Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus

Here are my options of motherboards:
-ASRock Z68 Extreme3/Gen3 (save some money)
-ASUS P8P67 Pro or Evo
-ASUS P8Z68-V/Gen3 (no Pro)
-ASRock Z68 Extreme4/Gen3
-ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z

I'm leaning to the Gene-Z because:
1. ASUS is a good brand.
2. It's a ROG mobo.
3. It looks cool :p with my HAF 922 and in general :) .

What do you guys think?
Thanks :) ;) !

It's the same price...
which one should I get?

The Gene-Z is sexier :p lol, but the P8Z68-V has more PCI Express slots (though I will only use two max [if I get another gpu]).

U will not see any differences between them really.

But if u like it, get it. U will not go with bad or weak mobo : )

It has better audio chip.

SupremeFX X-Fi 2 x 8 Channels

Smaller mobo will get hotter, but u have good case, so I think you are just fine there.

Do you think I should save money and go with the ASRock Z68 Extreme3/Gen3 or stay with ASUS?

At the end of the day,

both will run fine and ASRock will give u option to use 2 cards @ 2 x 16.

And ASRock is ASUS : )

2 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots (PCIE2/PCIE4: single at x16 (PCIE2) / x8 (PCIE4), or dual at x8 (PCIE2) / x8 (PCIE4)) (PCI Express 3.0 with Intel Ivy Bridge CPU, PCI Express 2.0 with Intel Sandy Bridge CPU)
