I need help narrowing down some options.
I am Looking to build a system to primarily be for Photo/Video Editing as well as some Home Theater/Media Center use. I dont want it to get out dated too fast! Not a gamer, more of an enthusiast who wants a fast machine. Looking to build in the next week or two. Will source primarily from newegg.com
In most cases I have narrowed the parts to two options but am open to other suggestions/recommendations:
CPU: i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06 ghz LGA1366 $199 Micro Center
i7-960 Bloomfield 3.2 ghz LGA1366 $309 Newegg.com
MOB: Asus-P6X58D Premium $269 Newegg.com
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R $199 Newegg.com
SSD for OS and Programs: Crucial Real C300 64GB $124.99 Newegg.com
Crucial Real C300 128GB $244.99 Newegg.com
HDDs 2 in Raid 1: WD 2TB SATA 3 Cavier Green $79.99 each Newegg.com
WD 2TB SATA 3 Cavier Black $169.99 each Newegg.com
Memory: Corsair XMS3 6GB DDR3 1600 Triple Channel $75 Newegg.com
Corsair XMS3 12GB DDR3 1600 Triple Channel $159 Newegg.com
Burner: Sony BWV-500s $149 Newegg.com
LG WH12LS30 $114 Newegg.com
Power Supply: Corsair HX Series 750W $141 Newegg.com
Case: Cooler Master 690II Advanced $89.99 Newegg.com
CPU Cooler?
GPU? - The one truly unknown is what to do for a video card...I want to primarily run two DVIs. But I also want the ability to run an HDMI cable for streaming HD video/audio (ESPN3) to a 1080p TV without having to change audio settings each time (from native sound card on board to GPU) Crossfire and SLI not needed (I believe).
I appreciate any assistance you can provide.
