Task manager, Constant phisical memory?

So i've noticed my pc is slow, i'm downloading some stuff but i doubt that it would make it slower, when i check task manager the graph shows 3.10gb (i have4) in constant use and never dropping 3gb use, so...whats happening here? Thanks!

You may have a lot of processes running in the background and you can easily check that and start closing some of them that don't need to be running.
