Hi, just need some advise from people here. My first build is going to have

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212+
MOBO: ASRock P67 Extreme4
RAM:Kingston Technology HyperX 8 GB Kit
GPU: Sapphire 100312-2SR Radeon HD 6950 Video Card -
HDD: Samsung spinpoint f3 1TB
Kingston Digital SSDNow V+100 96 GB Solid-State Drive
PSU: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 750W
Optical: LG Black

CASE: Cooler Master HAF 922 or 912

Now, $50 is relatively little cost difference, but I have read elsewhere that the 912 overall is the better value and the cord management is better. Is this correct? My first build, so ease of use would be great. Is there a case in the same price range I am missing? (I care much more for functionality than looks). Thanks

Nice Build! I personally would go with the HAF 912, it is about half the price after rebate, and it is the best you can get for the price. Those extra $50 that you save, You can add a Noctua fan, or something like that. There is plenty of space for cable management and Graphics card. Though, the HAF 922 Advance, I like it a lot.

Thanks Cronos, I am at the last step before I start my first build, so just trying to tie up some loose ends. Thanks again for the advice.

I actually have both the 922 and the 912. The 922 is much more roomy inside and as such it is a BIG case. The 922 comes with two 200mm fans one on top and one in front which moves lots of air quietly. The 912 however does have better drive bay options, it has 2.5" drive holder the 922 does not AND the 912 you can remove part of the drive bay behind the front fan so there is direct airflow with nothing in the way between front. Also the 912 does not come with 200mm fans just 120 back and 120 front but you can order 200mm fans if thats what you want. You almost have to remove the extra drive cage if you have long cards which isn't that big a deal unless you have tons of HDDs.

I really prefer my 922 for the roominess but I wish I could have the drive cage setup that the 912 has.
