Hi I'm new I've literally been researching this for hours seeing as how I chose a phenom II n830 processor over the I3 with a small part of it hoping on the unlockable core

My question is, It seems this isn't an x3 (unless thats the nickname instead of typing out triple core) processor and I was wondering if they aren't releasing those anymore or not.

Heres a link to the laptop (I just ordered it yesterday)

Thanks for the help

I don't know of any Laptop makers that allow you unlock CPUs and certainly HP's won't. The bios is tied down pretty tight. I think you are better off with an i3.

ah ok, wasn't aware that it was a desktop only phenom :\ thanks for the response.

Unfortunately I already purchased the laptop I was only considering a lenova however the rpm on the hard drive was slower, the Graphics card was a little worse and I heard bad things about the sound (as in not able to hear it without using headphones)
