Kingston HyperX Blu Timing Issue

This is not urgent, as it is working. Just would like to get it fixed eventually.

I am running two sticks of Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB, DDR3 1600. I changed the speed in bios to run at 1600, and that is fine, but when i changed it to 1600 from 1333, the timings went up as well. It is suppose to run at 9-9-9-27, but CPU-Z and bios has it reading at 11-11-11-29. Advice?

Foxconn A9DA-S
MSI R5770 Hawk (x2)
Antec Neo Eco 620C
Kingston DDR3 1600 8GB (2x4)

Pick one speed or the other. Let the board choose the timings. They tend to be faster when you lower the speed (lower timing numbers equals a little more speed).

At 1600Mhz speed the ram provides more bandwidth for your system. At 1333Mhz speed as o1die as mentioned - it will get your information to you quicker, but less bandwidth.

You might want to try it at 1333Mhz speed, and at 1600Mhz speed to see which you like better - you can also try out a game with FRAPS.

IMO i think you will get better performance out of 1333Mhz (due to lower timings) as I can't see your system using tons of bandwidth due to your setup.

Thanks to both of you. I will give that a shot. My OCD kicking in was an issue with wanting those numbers to match rather than perform, haha. I will give them a days try each and see which fits better.
