My audio crackles on my burnt dvds im using sothink movie dvd maker

ive been using sothink movie dvd maker on windows 7 the video playback on my stand alone dvd player has perfect playback but any time the audio gets to a climax like for a dramatic moment (an explosion for example) the audio crackles. I've tried to slow down the speed of the burn but sothink doesnt have that option i've switched the audio from 5.1 surround to stereo and even tried mono it didnt have any effect if anyone can help me with this i'd greatly appreciate it

try a different audio bit-rate, make sure your not down sampling to 44khz, stay at 48khz - keep audio bitrate at 192 or higher.. give that a try
