So I'm thinking of upgrading from a GTX 275 to a GTX 570.
I have this notion in my head that one 570 is roughly = two 275s.
I'm planning to play DC Universe on a 1920x1080 with everything maxed.
I don't have beta, so I don't know how it runs on the 275.
Should I even be entertaining this idea? Or should I just save my money and wait it out.

i'm a little out of the loop...what does physx do for me exactly in gaming.
and why would i keep it as a physx card?
as in run gtx 570 and 275 in sli?
i've been away for a while now :S

PhysX in essence is more explosion pieces, better looking smoke, better looking ripples on water, so on so forth.

Not all games use GPU PhysX and the 570 would be plenty powerful enough to not even need the 275 as a PhysX card, itd just be wasting more power on the Powersupply, not to mention heat the case up more then it would with just the 570.

Try to sell the 275 if your able to.

And using both at the same time would depend on the POWERSUPPLY.

So how many watts/+12v rail amps does your powersupply have?

Not to mention you need like 2 6pins and 2 8pins or 4 6pins or some such like that for both cards to be powered.

i'm most likely just going to salvage money for the 275.
i can still fetch atleast 100 for it locally which will help with the costs of the new card :)
i'm also running an antec 850w supply, the cx850 or something like that, my memory is hazy, feels like i built this comp a long time ago haha.
i picked up a 6950 for 250cad, vs the gtx 570 at 330 with 20mir.
this is the dilemma now.

ty lol, i've never been a hardcore nvidia/ati fan.
i respect both and just pick the one that makes sense.
altho i do love the thought of physx. i'll only be running 2 monitors, so eyeinfinity isn't utilized.
but this "free upgrade" to a 6970 has got me sold
