Graphic card Upgrade problem

Hello everyone.I just wanted to ask whether this upgrade was worth the money.My current card is a msi geforce gtx 260 twin frozr edition and I was planning to upgrade to a gtx 460 768mb.One of my friends told me that it will give extremely good framerates than the 260 in all games but according to this chart its only 6%better.

Now I have heard all the news about the 460 gtx being an awesome card so should I go through with this upgrade?.My resolution is 1680X1050 with an Intel core i7-870 and 500 watt corsair psu.

At that resolution, GTX 460 form a GTX 260 is not much of an upgrade.A GTX 260 should still be able to handle most games on high settings at that resolution.If you're not keen on playing DX 11 titles, there's no reason to upgrade.

still even if there is a marginal increase I want to ask about 2 of my favourite games crysis and just cause 2.Now with my current card I can max out crysis with 2AA except for shaders which I have on high.Now if I buy the gtx 460 768mb will I be able to play the fame with even shaders at high.Also in just cause 2 I can max out the game except for gpu water simulation and ssao and shadows on medium .will the gtx 460 have enough grunt to play with all these options enabled?These are my only questions because these are the games I play frequently

It might perhaps allow you to do so, but still, upgrading from a GTX 260 to a GTX 460 768MB does not make any sense.If you do want to upgrade, get the 1 GB version.

It doesn't make any sense to get a 768mb card for crysis anyways. You should be looking at a GTX470 or better.
