Ping for online gaming

I get really really high ping for online gaming.

And it makes me lag like crazy

most servers i play are in chicago.

But ingame this is what i get.

and I live in oregon coast. about 10 minutes from washington.

and my ventrilo server is in seattle.

When i first got this modem (ambit) online gaming to chicago would be 60-70 ping

and, ive reinstalled vista and everything, i cant find whats wrong with it, and charter already came out here and said my line is better than mosts.

seems like that could be about right. I'm on Charter also and I'm getting a 60ms ping to Oregon.

You should move over here, I get 15-20ms pings to Chicago




Above is during peak to. Usually 18ms with 0ms jitter during morning-5pm

/sigh I remember CS 0.4 on my 33.6 and 350ms pings.
