Why do hard drives develop high-frequency leaks?

The godawful high-pitch tone that emits for months before my hard drive crashes and has to be replaced yet again. This will be the 3rd time in the lifespan of my present PC. (I'm not going to replace the PC till I understand this problem so I don't end up purchasing the problem anew when it's time to replace this entire PC.)

a hard-disk failure occurs when a hard disk drive malfunctions and the stored information cannot be accessed with a properly configured computer. putting your pc too close to magnetic waves or when the hdd is writing or reading and any form of intense movement would result in a head crash
