guys i need your help. when i use the onboard sound of my computer, the cpu usage is high. like 74% to 98% stable. and this is just by playing a music! i also made sure that there were no anti-virus scan running or anything that eats the usage of the CPU.

i have an external sound card. but i had no problems with it. 1% to 3% Usage.

whats wrong with my onboard sound? i installed the drivers correctly.

i want this to be fixed. i really need your help.

i mainly use the onboard sound for my headphones and the external for my speakers.

Sounds like crappy win 7 drivers to me. Even though the onboard sound generally unloads more work to the CPU than a dedicated sound card, thats a bit high. What motherboard and CPU do you have? I suggest checking the manufacturer for better drivers.
