Hi,
I have Olympus camera c-765 and I'd like to use tele and wide conversion
lenses. My question is: are conversion lenses compatible with all
compact digital cameras as long as there is proper adapter on camera?
Do I need to buy Olympus lenses or similar conversion lenses of other
companies can be used as well?
Ok, I understand that on DSLR lenses can be easily exchanged (and
conversion lenses added), but on compact camera?

I use a Tiffen wide converter on my Oly 2020z and 5060 (as well as an
Oly 1.4 teleconverer). The Tiffen is identified clearly as a lens that
will work with my cameras and adapters. However, I have tried other
converters (eg. Sony) and they would not work with my Olys. I would only
stick with ones that are stated to work with your particular camera. The
quality of non-Oly conversion lenses varies a lot, but I am very happy
with the new Tiffen. It is light and produces excellent results. I've
purchased my lenses from Bugeyedigital.com, which clearly states
compatibility.
