Will a core i5 760 only let me memory run at 1333 Mhz regardless of what the actual speed is?

no, you can run high speed rams with a good mobo provided you have a stable overclock.

huh... so I need to overclock my memory just to get it to run at its designated speed because of a CPU bottleneck-similar problem? pretty stupid on intels part, but as long as I get my memory running at its correct speed I'm fine and thanks for the help!
