I have a question:

I have a Zotac GTX 460 1GB Amp edition which is already overclocked. Can I add another ASUS or Zotac GTX 460 (Stock not overclocked) to it for SLI.

SO will I be able to use an overclocked card with a stock card for SLI.

My system specifications are :

Athlon II x4 640 3.0Ghz
Asus M4N75TD (SLI 8x)
Corsair 4GB DDR3 1333Mhz
Cooler Master Elite 430 Cab
Seagate 500GB Sata

I have a cheap power supply. I should get a power supply too. please suggest me a budget power supply for running two gtx 460's

And also please tell me if I can use the overclocked version of the GTX 460 with the stock card in SLI mode. Should I get a replacement for the overclocked gtx 460 for a stock card.!!!!!!!!!!!!! :pfff:

thank you. But I want to know what would happen to the cards. would the stock card be overclocked automatically or would the overclocked card decreased its specifications to that of the stock gtx 460.

Often the only difference between the factory overclocked card and the "reference" card is that a software utility has been used to accomplish the OC .... you can do this yourself. Major OC's from factory however often have a different cooler.

As far as PSU's go.....ya can find the list of nVidia certified PSU's here:

http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_build_psu.html

Among those included are the Corsair TX/HX750 (no Corsair 650's are on the list) and up, Antec TP650 and up and EA750
