New PC or OS - What do you need?

When building a new computer i always think, what programs/software do you need or want?

-Virus Protection.
-Graphic Drivers.
-Games.
& So on..

Please list all of the programs you install after building a new computer or after reinstalling or installing a new Operating System?

What do you use for over clocking processors and graphic cards? what cool programs do you have? what tweaker's do you have?

Please list what you do on a fresh OS install or a new build, i find it interesting.

Done. No additional set up required thanks to /home on a different partition. Setting up RoR is about as exciting as it gets.

For OC'ing (and I'm not much into that) I just head to the BIOS and play with fire directly. I don't bother fussing with my GPU since it doesn't matter for my machine.

Am I boring?
