Hello,
My system is Intel E7400 C2Duo, Zotac Ge Force9300 Motherboard, 2 GB DDR2 RAM. My problem is when I ma surfing the net on my broadband connection and try to open different web pages in succession, the computer becomes slow. The task mamger shows RAm usage between 450-700 MB but the CPU load shows 80-100% at times. The pages do not load comletely till CPU load comes down. then they load. Do I need to change the CPU. I ma not running any other programs at such times-No music or hard drive in use. Please advise??

Is Internet explorer the only application that is running slow on your computer? Do you have alot of toolbars? Do you have an antivirus and malware application on your machine.

No it happens with all browsers Chrome. Mozilla. I have norton 360 trial version loaded. I dont have lot of toolbars, only the basic which gets Norton bar which gets loaded . I also have google desktop loaded.

It may be Norton 360 causing the problem. Try temporay disable it if you can.

OTOH, try to run Firefox in safe-mode, which will disable all the toolbars and add-ons. To run Fx in SM, use "firefox --safe-mode" without the quotes at the Run popup.

HTH.
