Hello,

My Computer:
Cooler Master 750W PSU
Intel i7 950@3.06GHz
4GB Corsair @1066MHz
Leadtek GTX480
EVGA Intel X58 SLI3 Motherboard

Ok well I found out recently that my CPU, according to RealTemp, is running around 90 degrees idle on a stock cooler, so i'm getting a new heatsink, but i doubt CPU bottlenecking has to do with this problem, as it's an i7

Basically, i'm getting very low framerates for this quality of card. On the Just cause 2 Benchmark, native res of 1920*1xxx, everything on and up on high, i get an average of 24 fps. On FRAPS, i get about 24 fps average on Battlefield Bad Company 2, and an average of 20-30 for Civ 5. These games are running at high, but on a 1280*xxx res. I have no idea why my GPU is performing so badly, especially as even people with CPU bottlenecking the GPU seem to have better performance, getting around 40-50. In addition, other benchmarks for my card seem to put it at 50-6fps on native res and everything

Thanks

Solution
It can be that your HOT! cpu is the bottleneck. It is probably stuck in thermal throttling, fix that first and then worry about the card.
