Just got this Motherboard

BIOSTAR MCP6P3 AM3 NVIDIA GeForce 6150 / nForce 430 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813138180

on a deal with newegg, came with 4gb ddr3 and a flash drive for 29 bucks in the hope of building a budget HTPC.

In my excitement I didn't realize that it was Pci-e x16 1.0a board.

What would be the cheapest way to add HDMI to this board? Can I use a 2.0x16 card (I keep reading conflicting info on this)? All the 1.0 cards seem prohibitively expensive for this super low budget build.

PCIe 2.0 motherboard slots are fully backward compatible with PCIe v1.x cards. PCIe 2.0 cards are also generally backward compatible with PCIe 1.x motherboards, using the available bandwidth of PCI Express 1.1. Overall, graphic cards or motherboards designed for v 2.0 will be able to work with the other being v 1.1 or v 1.0.

I have an xfx gt240 not being used, would that work on the board?
