Need to clear CMOS after a BIOS update?

Mobo: Asus P8Z68-V PRO
Proc: Intel Core i5-2500K

I have read that you have to reset the CMOS after a BIOS update. I just upgraded my BIOS and my PC appears to be booting into Windows 7 successfully. Do I still need to reset the CMOS?

reset clear cmos doing when something goes wrong because fail overclock and system won't boot.

You don't have to do it, but you need to check your CMOS is set up correctly, and probably load defaults from there. There may be good reasons why they say to, though.
