Hi,

I am putting together a quad cpu machine to handle a website that relies heavily on several databases. I need to be able to handle lots of threads therefore, cores are very important. Other than a $800 Supermicro tower I cannot find much that will hand this size motherboard (16.48" x 13). I am not using a rack and am hoping to find a tower and am looking for any recommendations...I Know about the moutain mods stuff and highly customized options but am looking for something for a reasonable price 300-500 dollars.

Thanks in advance for your consideration,
c

Hello neostile, I have the same problem like you my server mainboards are Supermicro H8QMI-2 and Arima F3000.

These mainboards have the same size like your mainboard.

If you don´t want a 19 inch rack machine you can use a Codegen case.

I found a server case for this huge mainboards.

Codegen S201-1 It is a white cube with enough space for the Mainboards.

On the left side of the cube you can built in the mainboard and on thr right side is enough space for 12 Harddisks. :D

I got this case for round about 120$ ?? ca. 105 €

If you want more information mail me or see my homepage:

http://www.hardwarecrash.de go to "Projekte"

Or the direct link to the rebuilt case:

(sorry my homepage is only in german)
