New Build - Compatibility Check!

I'm sorry to be asking. I've asked different people and some tell me that the build is good and should work, and others make some 'newb' remark and don't give any advice. When that happens I feel like I've got something very wrong. I'm semi-familiar with many computer parts but still definitely learning. I have a build I'm hoping to buy, and would like to run it by some people who seem like they know what they're talking about.

CPU-- AMD Phenom II x4-965 Black Edition
MoBo-- MSI 790FX-GD70
Grafix Card -- MSI R5770- PMD- 1GB Radeon
RAM -- G Skill Ripjaws DDR3 (2x4GB)
HD -- 500 GB WD Black Caviar
PSU-- Antec TP-650 650 Watt
Case-- Antec nine hundred
OS -- Windows 7 professional

Have monitor, kb, mouse, speakers, monitor, all that. Some of these components I have from a friend who had them new, and wasnt' gonna use them. So I tried building around that and saving some bucks. Anyway... I'm wanting to get the word on whether it's good to go.

More about build compatibility check
  1. Hello gismoquacks;

    Parts compatibility checks out OK. What parts do you have - and what are you going to buy?

    What monitor resolution are you using? Are you planning to get a 2nd HD 5770?

    It's much better to ask than end up being sorry you didn't ask first.
