New Budget AMD X6 1090 Build, Advice appreciated!

I'm using this as a thread to plan out my first PC build! I've always loved gaming but have never had the money to build a fast PC to play new games. I'd appreciate ANY advice as to certain brands for certain components or cheaper deals. This IS a budget build, I'd like to end up somewhere around $600 though I suspect it may end up more likely around $700. All parts were sourced from Newegg.

PC Purpose: Gaming, web browsing, music, video, downloading, photoshop, etc. Mostly gaming and school stuff.

Current Parts Pile: (What I'm currently looking at, not final)

MOBO: ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard $120 - $10 Rebate + $8 shipping

CASE: ANTEC TWO HUNDRED S Black ATX Mid Tower $45 - $15 rebate + FREE SHIPPING

VIDEO CARD: ASUS ENGTS450 DC OC/DI/1GD5 GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 $130 + $8 SHIPPING - $20 rebate

POWER SUPPLY: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-530SS 530W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular LED Power Supply $40 + $3 Shipping

DVD/CD Burner: ASUS $19 +$7 SHIPPING

HDD: Samsung 1TB 32MB CACHE 7200RPM $60 + $7 shipping

As of now the build is at $650, feel free to suggest different components,
Don't need keyboard/mouse/display or OS as I already have Windows 7.

OH, and I plan on using my 40" Sony Bravia as my display. Is this a problem?

Thanks in advance guys!

  1. I'd get the Asus M4A88TD-M EVO/USB 3.0 instead, it costs just a tad more, ($5-$10).
  2. Phenom II X6 1090T- $199.99
    HIS Radeon 5770$129.99 ($30 rebate)
    G SKILL Ripjaws Cas7 8gb- $79.99
    Gigabyte GA 870A UD3- $94.99
    Antec 300 Illusion- $54.99
Lite-On Lightscribe DVD Burner- $22.99 (free shipping)
    Seagate Barracuda 1TB- $64.99
    Corsair 650TX PSU- $89.99 ($20 rebate)

Total- $737.92 (before $50 in rebates & shipping)
  3. Bump for updated components
  4. Since mostly gaming one massive gain you would have is hit a 955BE and a far beefier GPU than a GTS 450 hehe

Edit: This $195AR XFX HD 5870 instead ^^
