Can i use a HD6850 with a A8N-SLI motherboard?

Hi guys, I have a very old motherboard A8N-SLI with a AMD 64 X2 3800+ cpu and a X1900 XT graphics card.
I want to upgrade the graphics card to one that can last until the next motherboard+cpu upgrade, and I was wondering if this old motherboard would be able to support a HD6850?

Whether or not it would support it, your CPU is very limiting. You wouldn't notice a huge upgrade from the 1900XT card compared to what you would if you had, say, a high-clocked quad-core Athlon/Phenom.

Look into upgrading your motherboard first.
