Using Onboard 4290 for hdmi out

I just bought an asus M4A89GTD Pro board, I have a 4870 card and a dual monitor setup.

Now I'd like to be able to use the HDMI out on the 4290 and plug it straight into my T.V, then use it as a third monitor kind of thing, or even mirror my monitor 1.

The board supports hybrid crossfire x, but if I were to do that wouldn't I be knocking my 4870 down to a 4290, or would it not matter as I am only using the onboard card to render graphics on my third screen?

I am not sure that you can run the integrated parallel with the 4870 but I know they will not run in hybrid CF.

Ahh, I remember reading somewhere that the 4200 discreet graphics are only compatible with like 3000 series cards but I figured maybe I could use the onboard graphics to just render an image on the third screen only and not interact with my 4870 guess that's not how it works :(

I was able to Hybrid X-Fire the HD4290 with a MSI R5450, but did not test all the monitor set-ups. After installing an Asus EAH5770, I do not even see the HD4290 as a display option.

Hmm, I'm just waiting on my ram and case to be shipped to my house so in a couple days I'll test it out.

See what my performance is like without xfire, then turn it on and make sure my gaming performance/benchmarks are uneffected (or boosted) then I'll see if I can use the 4290 to render a third screen.
