System Usage from Most to Least Important: SC2(max settings @ 1920x1200), multi-tasking, surfing the net.

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse

Parts Preferences: built around i7 sandy bridge

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1200, dual screen

Additional Comments: I would want to have the mobo have extra slots( ram + GPU ) to be upgradable for the near future so it would last me 8 years, full tower case

If you go to the forums there are about 300 post asking the same questions.
I would look at a few of them and then tailor it to your specific tastes. Then come back here and edit your post with what you choose and ask people for input on what you have found.
Cases are really personal preference as to what you want to look at everyday.
I mean I could post a build from Newegg but then you would change some things any way.
8 years is a lot to ask ;)

Hi there,

I reckon an Asus P8P67 Deluxe would suit your needs for a future-proof, feature-packed motherboard, it come for around $230. For the GPU I would suggest a GTX 560Ti or a Radeon HD 5870.
