New monitor stopped second display

I just got a new monitor (Acer G235HA), and I hooked it up to my computer. works fine. looks great. but my other display isn't recognized on the nvidea control panel when both are plugged in, same with my other monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 940BX), when it's plugged in first, it doesn't pick up the new Acer monitor.

Running windows 7 32 bit

Nvidea Geforce GTS 250 GPU (2 DVI)

1920x1080 and 1280x1024

Help please!

Do you have multiple monitors enabled in settings for display in control panel.

I should, if I don't I'm not sure where else to look.
