Both are good brands. List out or compare features you desire, and pick one.

It also helps if you read reviews and customer feedback.

Is it better than Asrock?

I would say, ASUS and Gigabyte are #1
----------
ASUS
Gygabyte
MSI
ASRock
Intel
EVGA
Biostar

--------
ASRock Inc. is a manufacturer of motherboards, netbooks, and HTPCs, based in Taiwan and chaired by Ted Hsuu. It was established on May 10th, 2002 and invested by and subordinated to Asus.

Asus is considered as one of the best, if not the best, Motherboard manufacturers.

Yep, ASUS is a better brand. Although Gigabyte would be No.1 on my list.

Asrock is actually the budget mainboard brand from ASUS.

Incorrect. Asrock was spun off of Asus. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASRock

This happened a while ago. Asrock is owned by Pegatron.

Edit: My vote goes for an Asus or Gigabyte motherboard.

Cool, didn't know that : )

Pegatron was incorporated on June 27, 2007 as a subsidiary of its then parent company, Asustek (or more commonly known as its brand name "Asus" ).
