Yes they are compatible. On the H61 and 1155 socket in general is better to have the memory at 1.5V Voltage , because if is higher you can burn the memory controller from CPU. You can put 1.6V , 1.65V RAM but you must to set the voltage from BIOS at 1.5V. There is RAM at 1.35V those are good almost on every motherboards.

[fixed]will this memory be compatible with this motherboard? [/fixed]
OK, yes it is compatible with this mobo.

Mobo Memory Standard: DDR3 1066 / 1333
The RAM is DDR3 1600 - so it will downclock theRAM to 1333MHz to be compatible.

[fixed]also can you please educate me on which ram would be compatible with certain mobo, aside from ddr and pin numbers. does the chipset (H61 etc) matters when choosing a ram?[/fixed]
What matters, is the voltage, for the i7 - i5 it should be 1.5V and 1333MHz.
But u can OC the RAM, but your H61 is not a good for OC, Z68 or P67 is the right for the job. So check the specs for the CPU and check the mobo as well.
