Hello --

This happens after the Win default screen background appears ... the startup
process stops. It does not happen on each startup.

Power off, then restart, and it starts normally.

Does anyone have any ideas about what is causing this?

Does it BSoD, or just hang?

The very last item to load before you see the desktop, is the video
drivers. Update them or delete the card under the device manager and
reboot.
