Problems checking my temps on CPU

Hey guys, I recently built a new system and i'm trying to monitor the temperature of my CPU without having to go to bios. Speedfan shows it at -60c and i know thats not right.

Did i not connect something properly? My bios shows actual temps (which to me they seem a little high)

I have an 15-2500k (with 2 120m fans on the heatsync)
Asus p8p67 pro
EVGA 560 ti superclocked
Corsair 750w
Raidmax Arelous case with 6 120m fans

Use Core Temp or Real Temp and match the results.

By the way how do you know what is the temperature of the CPU?

the only way i can check for temps is in my bios which shows 42c after a reboot. The pc was running all night but not really doing anything (as far as a game being loaded or anything)

Thanks for the core temp info. It on and running. The only thing im doing on pc is stress testing my gpu and i have mozilla open.

core 0 =40c
core 1 =49c
core 3 =39c
core 4 =41c

Stress testing with what? Just game heavy for an hour and check the temps.

well running it with 2 games going at once (i box two characters) the cores are actually cooler than they were when i posted the temps all of them are mid 30's. Wierd

oh and i was stress testing with evga's OC scanner

Prime95 is a better stress test than that and OCCT too. Furmark is another. Sandra is a good one. Although Prime is mainly meant for overclocking, but you can stress you PC with that as well and see if the temps are fine. Run it for more than 2 hours.

Well after some watching under game load, my cpu cores tend to run hot I think. Right about 38-42C. That is pretty hot right? I have an i52500k

Are these temps normal?

Without being under load they stay at 26-27c
