CPU and Chipset combined

Is it possible to fuse the processor and chipset into one chip. I know some people are going to say it would be a wast if possible, cause it would make it more expensive and diffcult when upgrading the processor if possible, I'm talking about netbooks and nettops where people don't upgrade the processor. I just thought it would be more efficent and take up less space to have processor and chipset on one chip.

Maby like one big chip with the processor cores and chipset fussed together shairing resources, to boost performance while reducing power consumption.
