I just built a computer and i cant get a display too come up

i just built my first computer and i cant get any display from the video card. I have an
ASUS p8p67 mb w/ lga 1155 socket
intel i5 processor lga 1155 socket
geforce gt430 video 1024 mb dedicated
2x4gb patriot ddr3 memory
450 watt power supply. i havent heard any beeps when i first turn it on either when i have the speakers plugged in. If you need any more info just let me know and all help will be much appreciated.

wehn i turn it on all teh lights on the mb come on and stay on.

When you mention speakers are you referring to your sound system speakers? To hear the post sounds you need to have the motherboard speaker attached.

Did you try plugging video into the mobo? You may have to do this before you can install GPU drivers.

Try rechecking that GPU if it is seated properly. A beep sound will come out only if you have connected that small speaker with red and black wire in it to the speaker socket on your motherboard or unless your case so provides it.
