Need a new Power Supply HP e9120y

Hey guys,

I'm really glad I found this site - I've already found a ton of helpful stuff just browsing around.

However, I recently purchased a new Radeon 5750 for my two year old HP e9120y. And I totally forgot that the power supply for that unit is only 300w. I need to upgrade the power supply to something a little more powerful and that has the 6 pin pci-express plugs. (my current power supply does not.) I'm pretty sure my processor is a Phenom IIx4 910 2.6Gh and it has 8gb ram. I'm just a little concerned about which power supply to get to replace it. One that physically fits and is appropriate for my system and has the 6 pin plug for my new card.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

  1. Any suggestions? I've been looking at the Corsair Gaming 600w and 700w power supply or the Enthusiast 650w and 750w. Anybody know what the difference is?
  2. Do both of those power supplys fit into your pc? I have the same computer and am looking to upgrade video card and power supply.

Here. This should last you for years, and it's only $20 after MIR!
  4. Thanks for the help! That was alot cheaper than the ones I was looking at. Do you also know if this would fit in the pc? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102908
