Window 7 monitor 1680x1050 ATI Radeon HD 4300 video card HP w2007

Hello, I have a new computer Windows 7 64 bit home edition. It has an ATI Radeon HD 4300/HD4500 video card and an HP w2007 Monitor. The monitor wants to be set to 1680x1050/60 mhz. Unfortunately, Windows will only let me set to 1600x1200 and does not recognize my HP monitor as such, rather it is calling my monitor (which it is using) a 'Generic Non PnP Monitor'

What do I do to get it to recognize the HP monitor and allow me to set the correct resolution?

Hello... you need to download the .INF file for your monitor and Windows version... and install/update the device listed in the Device manager.

I saw it available at HP.com a monitor does not need a driver... but an information file... to let windows know the resolutions available.
