Issues with LG TV and Nvidia GTX260- Not using whole tv

I recently bought an LG TV (42" LD450) and I hooked it up to my pc via it's vga port and my gpu's dvi port (dvi to vga adaptor). The issue I am having is that there is a spot about 2" wide on the left side of the tv that is not being used at all, and it is offsetting the screen which is annoying.

I was wondering if anyone knows what would cause this issue.

Go into your LG's Picture sub-menu. Set aspect ratio to "Just Scan".

That solved my issue with my 9600GT and my 47" LG 47LH90.

What you're looking for is the under/overscan option that will allow you to resize the video output and eliminate the border. Probabaly under the HDTV option in the Nvidia control panel but not sure, have a look.

found it under pictures settings... click on vga input and it gives you the adjustment settings.
