Video card as a capture card?

I recently purchased A HIS 5770 HD vid card it has a hdmi port on the back. im curious if i can plug an hdmi cable from my ps3 to afformentioned hdmi port and record or stream it on to my tv through my video card ( which is hooked in through a dvi port so what i want to do is :p lug ps3 into video card and stream it onto my tv which is hooked into my video card through dvi and record the video from the ps3

+1^. Nothing more to add. Your typical GPU is an output device only. You need a device specifically designed for it to provide the desired capture function.
