30 inch lcd 120mhz?

I love big monitors. I've had a 30 inch lcd since back when it was unhealthy to spend that kind of money on it. I can't and refuse to go back to any size smaller. However, I want to set up 3d gaming really bad. Is there a 30 inch lcd out there htat has a high enough refresh rate for 3d gaming?

More about inch 120mhz
  1. Due to bandwidth issues I believe 120Hz monitors are limited to 1920 x 1080 resolution.
  2. The biggest 120hz (true) screens they have is 23.6
  3. You could buy a 3d LCD TV any size you want at 1080p.

Those don't work as 120hz input monitors.

Oh really? Do you know why?
  6. Generally speaking all 3D Ready 120Hz HDTV use a HDMI 1.4 connection.

HDMI 1.4 supports 120Hz inputs, therefore a 3D Ready 120Hz HDTV should be suitable for 3D gaming.
  7. Ugh, how are people still misinformed on this.

There's a difference between 3D on a TV, where the signal is 24hz for both eyes, keeping it under 60hz, and 3D for videogames, which does 60hz each eye, i.e 120hz.

ALL "videogame" 3D is done through the Duallink DVI port right now, as no one has implemented an HDMI port yet that will take a 120hz signal from a PC, even though it's technically possible. They just don't do it.

so NO, any tv WONT work.

I'll say it again, as it stands now, short of using a projector, the biggest Monitor for 120hz you can get is 23.6

Acer announced a 27" which were not 100% sure yet if its true 120hz although it looks like it probably is, but who knows when it'll come out. Asus announced a 27" in march and its nowhere to be found.
