Hi,
couple questions:
Can others than Scavengers salvage wrecks any way? Can I at least move
ord / fuel from wrecks? Will they take any resource points (as I can
see inside them like in normal ships)?

Anyone can capture or use wreckage pods. The two Scav advantages are:
a) they can see wreckage at a great distance (they smell left-overs)
b) wreckage pods will not form right at the battle but "hop" to a nearby
Scav base or ship (apparently trash likes rodents as much as rodents like
trash

Since we're talking of the subject.
I had a in-game event, where my Scavenger ally collected all wreckages
from my Virgo which was destroyed in a battle. The parts and metals
showed up curiously in to his base on my HW. We were , like said,
allied but he had _no_ ships that participated in the battle.
Do the furries have this ability or was it a one time oddity?

The "furries" only have to see the battle (not to be involved in the
battle) to receive all the goodies.
That why your SCAV ally should invest in Scanner tech and\or find\trade
for ships with long range scanners.
When the SCAV see wreakage generated after a battle the wreakage will
end up either on a SCAV base or by a nearby SCAV ship (even if the SCAV
ship is cloaked).

Wreckage Pods:
Every race can capture wreckage pods (SCAV just have a unique way of
going about doing it)
After a battle; wreckage belongs to user 255 i.e. no one.
Wreakage can be captured by using the capture command on a ship
(similar to tow) and the ownership will change to belong to you.
You can only capture 1 pod per ship per turn.
You can only dock, drop to a base or salvage a wreckage pod, if you own
the wreckage.
I am fairly sure you can transfer Ord, Fuel, Repair Units, Minerals etc
from a Wreckage Pod belonging to user 255 (However your sensor image
profile will be increase just like you where transferring to\from the
planet surface).
To gain access to the wreckage's weapons you need to salvage the
wreckage pod into a Construction, Supply and "OUTFIT" pod OR land it at
a nearby military base.
If you capture a wreckage pod and turn on 'Transfer to ship' and set
the wreckage dock command to your ship. Your ship will strip the
wreckage pod of all usable parts is can hold (i.e. Ord, Fuel, Repair
Units, Minerals) without increasing your ships sensor profile when the
wreckage pod attempts to dock with your ship (you do not need a pod bay
to attempt a docking).
All objects within a game use 1 resource point. But you can always
destroy a wreckage pod afterwards or tow and land it to a nearby base
to reclaim back that resource point.
Thats about all you can do with Wreckage Pods. If anyone has anything
else new, I would love to hear.

The wreckage (as I understand it) formed a wreckage pod, the pod "hopped" to
the nearest Scav owned thing (a base in this case rather than a ship) and
then it landed at the base. So the parts didn't go directly to the base. A
pod landed there.
