Hey guys,

Motherboard:

CPU: Intel Celeron E3400
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The motherboard has all the specs I'm looking for (mainly onboard video and RAID 1). I'd like to set up a server in Ubuntu or Fedora (Amahi), and am not sure if this hardware I've chosen is a good fit. Just curious to see what you guys have to say! There is a lot of talk about 32 and 64 bit versions of everything, which also confuses me.

The server will mostly just be a file server, but I went a little overboard on the motherboard I feel, in case I want to upgrade the computer to a desktop workstation in the future.

E3400 & that Intel G45 motherboard are a good fit for what you plan.
And the support under Linux should be excellent.

The 32/64bit would refer to the software and operating system.
The hardware doesn't care and can support either.
